"The Bug that killed a carpenter"
Or
Snug as a bug in a rug?
The Pharisees,
The Sadducees,
Were philosophical
enemies.
They were snug,
In their power and fame.
They were smug,
In their mutual disdain.
Along came a carpenter,
Who caused a big, big stir.
But....
They looked down their noses,
At everyone but Moses.
Snug,
Smug,
And bug,
All share the same rug.
