you choose

You choose your attitude!!!

“Even a cow has enough sense to eat the grass and leave the rocks.” Ken Jones

“Sour grapes I refuse”,
Gertrude the cow mooed.
She knew she could Choose,
Her own bovine Attitude.
JSM

Repetition of the theme.

Make your first thought one of thanksgiving!

Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples!  1Chron16.8

And then sing a happy song!!! Yes, sing it out loud!

Sing to him, sing praises to him; 1Chron16.9

red light, green light

Red Light, Green Light

I Am Free
To Be Me
JSM

We don’t always have freedom as to what activities we must engage in but we always have freedom in how we will engage in them. Take the example of a driver stopped at a red light. The driver must stop. It is the law of the land and a law of safety. The driver, though, is totally free to choose what he/she thinks about. And the is totally free to choose their attitude and thus their feelings. Those 120 seconds can add to the blessings of the day. Or those 120 seconds can produce a body chemistry of stress that hasten the day of death and ruin a beautiful day.

the other golden rule

The Other Golden Rule

Ask, seek, knock?
Jesus’ words not mine.
Given, found, opened!
‘Tis the rule divine!
JSM

These words of Jesus are either true or false. I have found them to be true based on a lifetime of experience.  But, they are not magic. Faith, time, and perseverance are part of the equation. Ask, and keep on asking. Seek, and keep on seeking. Knock, and keep on knocking,

don’t judge the judge

Don’t Judge the Judge
Strange Case of Samson

Samson was an Israeli Judge?
For twenty years it seems.
But when it came to women,
He liked the Philistines.

Odd as it may be,
It came from the Lord,
He killed a thousand men,
With a jawbone not a sword!

Until he told Delilah,
The secret of his might.
She cut his hair short,
And Samson couldn’t fight.

They gouged out his eyes,
And made them their slave.
Until when his hair grew back,
He made their temple their grave.
