Insomnia

Tick Clock Blues

Tick clock, tick clock,
Two, three, four.
Tick clock, tick clock,
Wishing I could snore.

Tick clock, tick clock,
Awake so very soon.
Tick clock, tick clock,
Up and down till noon.

Tick Clock, tick clock,
Drowsy all the day.
Tick clock, tick clock,
Eyes open will not stay.

Tick clock, tick clock,
Drag myself to bed.
Tick clock, tick clock,
Lay awake instead.

Tick clock, tick clock,
Comfort alludes me like an itch.
Tick clock, tick clock,
At midnight a nap I snitch.

Tingling, stinging, Stabbing pain,
Trying at night to drive me insane.
I listen for hours to podcasts and song,
Tossing in bed as the night marches on.

Squeak squawk, Squeak Squawk,
A new sound I hear,
Squeak squawk, Squeak Squawk,
One I've come to fear.

Squeak squawk, Squeak Squawk,
Fluid in my chest.
Squeak squawk, Squeak Squawk,
A most unwelcome guest.

Tick clock, tick clock,
Two, three, four.
Tick clock, tick clock,
Wishing I could snore.
