The God Dilemma

The God Dilemma

You may think it odd,
But put yourself in the place of God,
Receiving billions of petitions each day,
From both believers and atheists who pray.

Sports players and fans,
Family holding a dying hand,
The suffering for help to God implore,
As do generals planning a war.

I can understand denying requests for wealth,
But why deny prayers for health?
Why allow an innocent to suffer?
While evil men feast on caviar for supper.

I can not understand God,
His ways can seem slipshod.
But if they end in Paradise,
That would be so very nice.
